GM Place

After having their photo taken in front of the Olympic cauldron in downtown Vancouver the group headed to GM Place to watch Bel face off against the Swiss. Not everybody, including me, had tickets to the game so we are sitting down eating lunch.

Done fearing for my life

Just got on the 401 to Toronto and the roads are finally plowed. I am feeling much safer after almost soiling my boxers on the 115. Now that I am not on the edge of my seat, it's time to close my eyes and relax until we get to the airport. Maybe I will dream about Canada winning gold in men's hockey.

The drive to the airport

Not the best morning to be driving on the 115. Last night's storm, which rocked most of Ontario, has left the highways covered in snow. However, the driver of my coach canada shuttle to the airport is driving like as if the roads were dry on warm summer day. At least he'll get me to airport on time for 7 am flight. Let's hope I arrive, the driver, and other eight riders make it in one piece.

Start your engines

It is bright (actually still dark) and early but the day has finally arrived. I awoke to my to my alarm clock at 2 am, and the fact that I am going to the Olympics has sunk in. Let the once and a lifetime journey begin.
